Personal Profile

Elizabeth holds an LLB Honours degree from Kings College London (2000) and an LLM Honours degree (with distinction) in International Commercial Law from the University of Kent (2012), where she has taught Contract Law and Tort at Kent Law School. She completed the Legal Practice Course at the Inns of Court, School of Law in Holborn, London, and is a qualified solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales. Elizabeth has previous experience in banking regulation, corporate rescue and various commercial transactions in the mining and other sectors since joining Titan Law in 2013. Some of her clients have included the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe, commercial and investment banks, and high net worth individuals.

Elizabeth is also a Company Secretary and Project Finance Lawyer at an energy consultancy firm, where she advises a number of companies on complex multi-billion-dollar infrastructure development projects in the energy sector. She also sits on the board of several housing associations as a Director and Company Secretary.

In 2010, Elizabeth was a Research Assistant to Professor Joseph Grundfest, the head of the Rock Center for Corporate Governance at Stanford University Business and Law School. (Grundfest is ranked as one of the top 10 lawyers in California by the National Law Journal in United States). Whilst there, Elizabeth did extensive empirical research for some ground-breaking corporate governance projects on white-collar crime,
executive clawback provisions and over-the-counter derivatives, which were the subject of much controversy following the global financial crisis of 2008.

Elizabeth also has a background as a corporate tax assistant at BDO Stoy Hayward in London where she looked after the corporate tax affairs of small businesses, often attending client premises to work alongside the audit team.

Elizabeth speaks French and holds the Level B2 qualification from France Éducation National, République Française.  She is currently part of the teaching staff at Alliance Française, where she holds qualifications to teach and to mark French exams up to Level B2 (the level required by the French government to attend university in France).
