Personal Profile

Nqobile leads the Banking, Finance and Investments Practice Group, given her expertise in banking, insurance, the capital markets and financial technology. Her practice also includes Corporate Governance, Company Law, Commercial Transactions, Regulatory Compliance, as well as Anti-Money Laundering.


Prior to joining Titan Law, Nqobile worked as Legal Counsel to the Speaker of Parliament and Group Legal Counsel and Board Secretary in print media. She also held the roles of General Counsel and Bank Secretary for international banking, insurance, and securities exchanges institutions. Nqobile contributed to legal reform of the financial services sector under the World Bank’s Ease of Doing Business Agenda through her various roles in the Legal Committee of the Bankers Association of Zimbabwe in the period between 2014 to 2019. 

She is the co-author of the only book on the 2020 Companies Act of Zimbabwe titled “A Guide to the Companies and Other Business Entities Act with Commentary, Checklist for General Counsel and Annexes”. She has written numerous articles for the Institute of Bankers Magazine, as well as the Capital Markets Newsletter. 


Nqobile is the Founding Chairman of the Association of Corporate Counsel and Governance Officers. She sits on the Board of Transparency International Zimbabwe, CEO Africa Roundtable Forum and Quant Africa Wealth Management. She volunteers for various charitable causes including Business Fighting COVID-19 and is a Mentor & HIV Activist for young people.
