Personal Profile

Nqobile is the Managing Partner of Titan Law, and leads the Banking, Finance and Investments Practice Group, given her expertise in banking, insurance, the capital markets and financial technology. Her practice also includes Corporate Governance, Company Law, Commercial Transactions, Regulatory Compliance, as well as Anti-Money Laundering. She is a registered Legal Practitioner, Conveyancer and Notary Public with the High Court of Zimbabwe, who holds an LLB Degree from the University of Cape Town (2006), and an MBA with the University of Gloucestershire (2020).

 

Prior to joining Titan Law, Nqobile held the roles of General Counsel and Board Secretary for international banking, insurance, and securities exchanges institutions. She also worked as Group Legal Counsel and Board Secretary in print media and Legal Counsel to the former Speaker of Parliament, Lovemore Moyo. Nqobile contributed to legal reform of the financial services sector under the World Bank’s Ease of Doing Business Agenda through her various roles in the Legal Committee of the Bankers Association of Zimbabwe in the period between 2014 to 2019.

She is the co-author of a book on the 2020 Companies Act of Zimbabwe titled “A Guide to the Companies and Other Business Entities Act with Commentary, Checklist for General Counsel and Annexes”. She has written a high school Life Skills textbook and Teachers' Guide, as well as numerous articles for the Institute of Bankers Magazine, the Capital Markets Newsletter, the Zimbabwe Independent, and Zim Juris, a magazine published by the Law Society of Zimbabwe. As an Executive Committee member of Women in Law Connect, Nqobile is the Editor of the Legal Eagles Magazine, a publication that celebrates female Zimbabwean Lawyers.

 

Nqobile is the Founding Chairman of the Association of Corporate Counsel and Governance Officers. She sits on the boards of Minerva Benefits Consulting, and Quant Africa Wealth Management. She volunteers as a Round One Judge for Africa Business Heroes, and BOOST ENACTUS, and is a Mentor for young professionals.
